Kitchen Porter | Full-Time Position | Central London

Conifer is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team at a prestigious hotel in Central London. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a key role in supporting the kitchen staff and maintaining cleanliness, ensuring smooth operations at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean and sterilise kitchen surfaces, including countertops, walls, stoves, ovens, grills, and sinks.
• Thoroughly clean the kitchen at the end of each shift to ensure it is ready for the following day.
• Maintain and organise food storage areas, such as freezers and refrigerators, ensuring hygiene and orderliness.
• Receive and organise kitchen deliveries.
• Wash dishes, utensils, cutlery, and cooking equipment, or load them into the dishwasher.
• Empty bins, dispose of kitchen waste, and ensure waste containers are cleaned regularly.
• Clean and maintain cooking equipment, including cookers, pots, and food mixers.
• Assist the Chef with basic food preparation tasks, such as cutting ingredients, peeling, and washing food items.
• Provide support to Prep Cooks and other kitchen staff as needed.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a culinary, hotel, or restaurant setting is advantageous.
• Knowledge of kitchen operations and basic food preparation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• A hospitality-focused attitude with a willingness to support the team.
